Scope and Contents The first set of materials were the topical files located in the basement of the Old Governor’s Mansion. These materials primarily represent tangential activities of the Foundation and not the actual operations of the Foundation itself. Scope and Contents The contents of this collection reflect the political and familial life of John C. Allphin, Jr.. There are four series in this collection: Scrapbooks, Allphin Family Papers, Books, and Realia. The majority of the scrapbooks have been disassembled for preservation purposes. The family papers have been arranged according to individual family members when appropriate with a miscellaneous folder and a general family folder.
