The group was formed in 1943 in Baton Rouge, and was officially established as an association in 1944. Their goal is to provide the area with a forum for the exchange of professional development opportunities and resources as they strive to improve workplace learning and performance. They work in area such as workforce development, performance improvement, and human resources.
